iPad Killer: Microsoft Surface for Windows RT

Surface for Windows RT is Microsoft's bold attempt to take on the iPad and Android, and show that Windows can compete in the tablet universe. In doing so, the company has built on its years of experience with pen and touch interfaces, and created a tablet that offers multiple input methods — including fingertip, stylus and keyboards — right out of the box. Running on the lightweight Windows RT operating system, this tablet won't include access to the full universe of Windows desktop apps (that's what the Surface for Windows 8 Pro is for). But Microsoft says it will be priced to compete with other, similar tablets, which could make it a viable alternative not just to Apple and Google-powered tablets, but to Windows RT tablets from other manufacturers as well.
