To dye for: Wayne Rooney shows off his new look against
Norwich on Saturday.
Trend setter: Rooney could soon copy David Beckham's
famous mohawk of 2001.
The bald facts reveal that Wayne Rooney is having a great season so far, scoring nine goals for Manchester United already this term.
But after splashing out £30,000 to sort out his barnet only to see it start to go grey, the England star must have thought 'hair we go again'.
Going grey is a common side effect of the treatment but instead of turning to Just for Man (United), Rooney asked his hairdresser to dye it brown.
So Daniel Johnson, who cuts a lot of the United squad's hair, coloured Rooney's locks after training on Friday.
Rooney told the Mirror: 'My game's perfect and I wanted my hair to be too.
'All the lads love it. I can name a few other players who need to take note.'
Daniel J also suggested that Rooney might start experimenting with some more outrageous hairstyles, such as the mowhawk made famous by former England team-mate David Beckham.
He said: 'It took 45 minutes to do. He had it cut and had a shave too.
'Wayne's looking younger and sharper. His transplant is growing at a very good rate and we're hoping to be more adventurous with it – maybe a mohawk.'
Rooney tweeted on Saturday: 'Pls follow my pal @IAmDanielJ everyone. does my hair and a lot of the man united team.'
