Good girl gone back: Rihanna suffers a bad hair day as reports emerge that she WILL reunite with Chris Brown on a new single

She is well known for changing her hairstyle and hair colour on a regular basis and it looks as though all those treatments have finally begun to take their toll on her mane and perhaps her common sense.

As Rihanna stepped out today with a pink baseball cap on her head in an attempt to cover up her bad hair day, reports emerged that the Good Girl Gone Bad singer will reunite with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in the recording studio.

The 23-year-old singer arrived in the capital wearing a specially made pink baseball cap that was covered in gold dollar signs but even the outlandish design couldn't hide her frayed and frizzy hairstyle.

According to reports from Vibe.com Riri and Chris are going to be hooking up on an upcoming single called Birthday Cake (Remix).

The last time the former couple collaborated on a track was in 2007 on the single Cinderella (Umbrella Remix) which also featured Jay-Z.

The news that she and Brown may be heading back into the studio again comes as a surprise since it was just over three years ago that she pressed charges against the Run It singer for domestic abuse.

Whitney Houston's mother and daughter lead mourners ahead of funeral in star's New Jersey hometown as nation prepares to say final goodbye

With millions of viewers set to witness Whitney Houston's funeral at noon today, the late singer's family members, including her mother Cissy and daughter Bobbi Kristina, took the opportunity to pay their respects in private yesterday.

A tearful Cissy Houston arrived at Whigham Funeral Home in the singer's hometown of Newark, New Jersey alongside her 78-year-old grandmother. They were later joined by famous faces including Houston's close friend Clive Davis and cousin Dionne Warwick.
Funeral director Caroline Whigham told the crowd gathered outside that the viewing 'was done in privacy. It was between a mother, a daughter, two brothers and a family,' according to People magazine.

The mourning family was also accompanied by a strong police presence which ensured the large crowds of fans who gathered outside the home kept their distance.

The heavy officer presence comes amid police warnings for fans to stay at home to watch the service rather than scramble for a place near the New Hope Baptist Church. Authorities say fans will not even be able to get within six square blocks of the church.

Cissy was escorted into the building by a priest and held hands with a woman in a crisp white shirt. The former gospel singer was dressed smartly in a black coat with an orange and brown leopard print scarf wrapped around her shoulders.

Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina, pictured in public for first time since she was rushed to hospital following the singer's death in a Beverly Hills hotel, arrived at the funeral home in dark jeans, white vest and a black jacket.

She appeared controlled as she entered the funeral home. 'There are moments when she is strong and moments when it all hits her,' a source told People magazine. 'She can't escape it.'

The 18-year-old is the daughter of Houston and her former husband Bobby Brown. It has been reported that the teen will now live with her grandmother 'indefinitely' according to HollywoodLife.com.

The teenager hid her eyes between a pair of sunglasses and held the hand of a friend as she walked past security.

Family and friends were greeted by what appeared to be an Egyptian-decorated casket outside the home.

As well as close family of Whitney in attendance friends also gathered together to pay their respects.

The late singer's cousin Dionne Warwick was seen arriving and had wore a white shirt and a pair of dark trousers.

Whitney's mentor and life-long friend Clive Davies also made an appearance as reports have emerged the music producer tried to get the singer to enter rehab in the weeks leading up to her death.

Whitney's on-off boyfriend Ray-J was seen making his way through LAX airport with his sister Brandy on their way to New Jersey ahead of the funeral.

Kevin Costner, who starred opposite Houston in the 1992 film The Bodyguard, was also seen making his way east at the airport.

Fans gathered outside where they signed a book of condolence and laid tributes, including flowers, balloons and teddy bears.

It is expected that fans will be blocked off the site once the 48-year-old star's family arrives for her wake ahead of today's funeral.

Family including daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18, along with her grandmother Cissy, 78, Miss Houston's mother, are due to say a more private goodbye at the pre-funeral service.

The gold hearse which conveyed her body to the funeral home remained parked outside, while fans lined up to pay their respects.

Already, some were waiting outside the temporarily crash barriers near the funeral home.

At today's service, a galaxy of stars are to pay tribute to Houston at her funeral in a gathering not seen since the death of Michael Jackson.

Tevez MUST apologise to Mancini admits City team-mate

Manchester City rebel Carlos Tevez is being urged by team-mate Yaya Toure to apologise to boss Roberto Mancini and end his Eastlands exile.

Tevez has been training away from the main group with a fitness coach since his return from three months AWOL in Argentina on Tuesday.

Mancini is prepared to let him rot on the sidelines until the club can offload the £198,000-a-week striker in the summer.

But Toure has implored Tevez to swallow his pride and apologise, in the hope that Mancini may reconsider.

The Ivory Coast midfielder feels that Tevez could be a great asset to City on the title run-in, but accepts the player and not Mancini must make the first move.

"Carlos is a fantastic player and I hope he will continue with us because we need him," said Toure. "He's an amazing player and I hope he can join us.

"For me, it's no problem that he is back because he is a great player and everybody likes him.

"He knows what he has to say to the boss and the rest of the players.

"Me and the rest of the players will be happy if he comes back."

Mancini has not even lain eyes on Tevez since he returned to the club's Carrington HQ, and has no plans to sit down with his former skipper to sort out their differences.

The City manager remained in Portugal on Thursday night after their Europa League win over Porto.

As City do not play this weekend, having already been knocked out of the FA Cup, he will spend a few days at his holiday home in Sardinia before returning to England at the start of next week.

Mancini made it clear on the eve of the Porto game that Tevez is not in his thoughts for the rest of the season.

The Italian was hurt by Tevez's accusations in a recent TV interview that he had "treated him like a dog".

City have still to decide if the player should be hit with another fine following those comments.

Liverpool v Brighton preview: Reds playing for Carling Cup Final places - Dalglish

Kenny Dalglish expects the lure of a cup final to concentrate minds wonderfully at Anfield despite the dramatic distractions of recent days, writes David Maddock.

The Luis Suarez affair has cast a deep shadow over the club, and the subdued display at Old Trafford last weekend - following the striker's refusal to shake hands with Patrice Evra - roused fears of a damaging effect on the team.

That's the last thing Liverpool need as they prepare for an FA Cup visit of Championship side Brighton on Sunday that screams of classic giant-killing potential.

Yet the Reds' boss passionately believes his players will instantly rediscover their focus against the south coast minnows - especially with the prize of a spot in his Carling Cup Final starting XI seven days later at stake.

Few places are guaranteed for Wembley and with the prospect of the axe for that meeting with Cardiff a real threat, Dalglish said: "The fifth round of the FA Cup is an important game for everyone - I've got no idea what my team will be for the final the following week.

"If someone plays well against Brighton it gives you a problem for the team the following week. Every day in training if someone does well, or in any game, it never does them any harm.

"The most important thing for us is the strength of the squad we have and then it's a problem for us - or myself - to pick a team.

"The target for us is to progress into the next round of the FA Cup. It's a really important game, then we can think about the team for the final."

One of the largely unexamined side-effects of the Suarez affair has been the impact it's had on morale within Anfield.

When his eight-match ban was announced in December, Liverpool dropped points against strugglers Wigan and Blackburn.

There is too, the distraction of the big games which seems to have cost the Reds this season, most notably when they produced their worst display of the season at Bolton, as minds seemed to wander forward towards huge showdowns with the two Manchester clubs.

Dalglish though, insisted there is no chance any of the off-field concerns will intrude on his side's preparation, because they have learned the painful lesson of previous mishaps.

"Every one of them wants to get into the next round but can't expect that if they repeat the Bolton performance," he explained.

"There's no-one here who enjoyed what happened at Bolton and I wouldn't see any reason why anyone would want to repeat that. I think they have that out of their system now.

"I don't think this is any different to any game, really. They should just relax and play. We know the opposition is going to be strong, well organised and maybe not too adventurous, and we have to be aware."

Suarez looks certain to play, despite the circus that will follow him from now on.

Dalglish is relaxed about that, because he retains a faith in the player's ability to rise above the furore surrounding him and deliver on the pitch, as his past controversies have shown.

And even though Anfield seemed to have been immersed in crisis when Suarez's refusal to shake hands with Evra sent shockwaves around the world last weekend, Dalglish argued his side are in rude health as they aim for success on two cup fronts as well as a top four finish.

"We are in a better position than we were a year ago - we were out of the FA Cup, out of the Carling Cup and tailed off in the league," he pointed out.

"Now we're four points off fourth spot, the fifth round of the FA Cup's coming up and we are in the Carling Cup Final. We still have an awful lot to play for."

He does, though, accept that progress is still required if his side are to emerge as top-level contenders.

"For us, if we could put a finish to what we are creating then it would be a really good story," added the Scot.

"Defensively, we are pretty sound - and in most areas of the pitch.

"In most of the cases this season, we have improved the strength of the squad. We have improved defensively.

"We should be saying the same [about the] attacking and we have had plenty of chances. We just have got to put that right."

Dalglish will resist the urge to make major changes to his side, but strikers Andy Carroll and Craig Bellamy could return as he looks to put the lower-division opponents under pressure.

FORMER Kop kid Alan Navarro will go down memory lane this weekend as his Brighton side visit Liverpool in the FA Cup.

But the midfielder will not get the chance to visit the terraced house next to Anfield that he grew up in before it is demolished in a few months.

Scouser Navarro, a Reds player during the Spice Boys era, said: “I’ve played at Anfield a few times for Liverpool reserves. It’s a top ground.

"The fact I was playing for a club, since I was 13, that I loved so it made it even more special for me.”

And the 30-year-old fancies the Seagulls’ chances of a giant-killing on Sunday.

Navarro said: “We go into the game exactly the same as we did against Newcastle [who Brighton beat in the last round] and Sunderland [who they beat in the Carling Cup earlier in the season] - to try to make it hard for them.

"Who knows what can happen over the 90 minutes? We’ve done it against Sunderland and Newcastle this season and there’s no reason why we can’t do it against Liverpool.

“We’re going to go there and will try to be solid and start better than we did against them in the Carling Cup [Brighton lost 2-1 to Liverpool at home], and then see how it goes.”

It is all a remarkable turnaround for a player who feared his career was over after a knee ligament injury all but wiped out last season.

Navarro said: “I could have been sitting at home on the couch, watching it on telly and doing nothing, because no club might have given me a chance after the injury, but I worked hard and the gaffer here gave me a chance.

"The fitness team and the physios worked with me and now I’m getting my rewards. I cherish every minute.”

EXCLUSIVE: Vidic set to return this season!

Nemanja Vidic is poised to make a sensational return before the end of the season - and perhaps even in time for the Manchester derby.

Manchesyer United's talismanic skipper Vidic was ruled out for the season after suffering cruciate knee ligament damage during the shock Champions League exit to Basel on December 7.

But the Mirror has learned the defender is at least a month ahead of schedule in his recovery programme and could return to give United a major boost in the title race run-in.

Vidic had surgery before Christmas and is said to have progressed to the 'weight-bearing' stage of his rehab programme - and could even start running by the end of the month.

Sir Alex Ferguson and his medical staff are mindful of rushing the player back and running the risk of him breaking down and having to endure a longer spell out of action.

United did just that in their Champions League semi-final defeat to AC Milan five years ago, when Vidic was brought back from injury too soon and was patently not fit.

But the club's medical and fitness believe Vidic has a realistic chance of coming back before the end of the season - without major risk - to help in the battle for the title.

United are scheduled to visit City, who are two points clear at the top of the table with 13 games to go, for a potential title decider on Saturday April 28, although the game may well be moved for live TV coverage.

Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans have former United's regular central defensive partnership during Vidic's absence, with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones also filling in there.

The champions' injury crisis - Ferdinand, Smalling and Jones have all been ruled out at times - has been such that midfielder Michael Carrick has also been deployed at the back.

Ferguson currently has 10 players out injured, including Antonio Valencia, Ryan Giggs, Dimitar Berbatov and Anders Lindegaard, while Darren Fletcher is out for the season with a bowel condition.

Vidic has already outlined his desire for a swift return to action.

Speaking last month, he said: "Everything is going well. It's progressing in the right way.

"I have the motivation to work hard and I want to be back as soon as possible."

Details Emerge of Whitney Houston’s Funeral

Details are beginning to emerge about Whitney Houston's funeral Saturday -- and it looks to be be a touching affair that will celebrate the life of the legendary pop singer.

Citing a family source, People magazine reported Thursday that Kevin Costner, Houston's co-star in the 1992 blockbuster "The Bodyguard," will attend and deliver a speech (Costner has yet to comment). The movie starred Houston as a megastar who falls for her Secret Service agent, played by Costner -— and remains one of her most beloved films. It also yielded one of her top-selling singles ever, "I will Always Love You." The movie grossed $400 million worldwide.

Other stars paying their respects: Houston's godmother, Aretha Franklin, and Stevie Wonder, who are scheduled to perform. Houston's record producer Clive Davis -— who stood by the singer throughout her career ups and downs -— is also expected to say a few words. Still no word on whether her estranged ex-husband Bobby Brown will attend.

The private, invitation-only service takes place at the New Hope Baptist Church in New Jersey, where Houston first showed off her signing talents as kids. The church seats about 1,500.

Grammy award-winning gospel singer Marvin Winans (the pastor who married Houston and Bobby Brown in 1992) will deliver the eulogy.

The Rev. Joe A. Carter, pastor at New Hope Baptist Church, said he will officiate the service, which is scheduled to begin at noon. It will likely run 90 minutes.

Fans will be able to view a live stream of the service on the Web.

After the service, Houston will be buried at the Fair View Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, where her father was buried in 2003.

Houston, 48, was found dead Feb. 11 in her Beverly Hilton hotel room. A cause of death has yet to be determined.

Nigerian underwear bomber gets life in prison

DETROIT (AP) — Defiantly declaring "a day of victory," a Nigerian man was given a mandatory life sentence Thursday for trying to blow up a packed jetliner with a bomb sewn into his underwear. People aboard the flight testified that the failed attack had disturbed their sleep and travels for more than two years.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was the same remorseless man who four months ago pleaded guilty to all charges related to Northwest Airlines Flight 253. He seemed to relish the mandatory sentence and defended his actions as rooted in the Muslim holy book, the Quran.

"Mujahideen are proud to kill in the name of God," he said. "Today is a day of victory."

Had the bomb not fizzled, nearly 300 people aboard the flight would probably have been killed.

The case stirred renewed fears that terrorists could still bring down an American jetliner more than eight years after 9/11, and it accelerated installation of body scanners at the nation's airports.

Before Thursday's sentencing, four passengers and a crew member from the flight told U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds that they have struggled to live and travel normally since the incident on Christmas Day 2009.

During their remarks, Abdulmutallab appeared disinterested, rarely looking up from his seat just a few feet away.

Abdulmutallab "has never expressed doubt or regret or remorse about his mission," Edmunds said. "In contrast, he sees that mission as divinely inspired and a continuing mission."

Life in prison is a "just punishment for what he has done," the judge said. "The defendant poses a significant ongoing threat to the safety of American citizens everywhere."

Abdulmutallab, the 25-year-old, European-educated son of a wealthy banker, tried to set off the bomb minutes before the Amsterdam-to-Detroit flight landed.

The government says he first performed a cleansing ritual in the lavatory — brushing his teeth and perfuming himself — then returned to his seat. The device didn't work as planned, but it still produced smoke, flame and panic.

He was subdued by fellow passengers and quickly confessed after getting hauled off the plane. He told authorities that he trained in Yemen under the eye of Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical American-born cleric and one of the best-known al-Qaida figures.

The judge allowed prosecutors to show a video of the FBI demonstrating the power of the explosive material called PETN found in Abdulmutallab's underwear. As the video played, Abdulmutallab, who was wearing a white skull cap and oversized prison T-shirt, twice said loudly, "Allahu akbar," or God is great.

Lemare Mason, a Detroit-based flight attendant who helped put out the flames, told the judge that he suffers night sweats and his "dream job" no longer is a "joy."

Passenger Shama Chopra, founder of a Hindu temple in Montreal, left Muslim prayer beads for Abdulmutallab on the defense table after her testimony. She recalled smelling his burning flesh inside the plane's cabin, a moment "that gives me nightmares to this day."

Theophilus Maranga, a New York lawyer who was aboard the plane, said he was disgusted by Abdulmutallab's continued references to religion as justification.

"What kind of God is that? God is peace-loving," Maranga said in court, adding that he prays daily for Abdulmutallab.

Because he was a passenger, Detroit-area lawyer Kurt Haskell was allowed to publicly repeat his wild claim that the U.S. government outfitted Abdulmutallab with a defective bomb partly to force the rollout of body-imaging machines at airports.

Abdulmutallab's mentor, Al-Awlaki, and the bomb maker were killed in a U.S. drone strike in Yemen last year, just days before Abdulmutallab's trial. At the time, President Barack Obama publicly blamed al-Awlaki for the terrorism plot.

Abdulmutallab is an "unrepentant would-be mass murderer who views his crimes as divinely inspired and blessed, and who views himself as under a continuing obligation to carry out such crimes," prosecutors said in a court filing.

Nine members of Abdulmutallab's family traveled to Detroit but did not attend Thursday's hearing. They said they were grateful that no one else was seriously hurt.

In a statement, the relatives said everyone who knew Abdulmutallab thought of him as the "last person" who would attack an airliner for al-Qaida.

Anthony Chambers, an attorney assigned to help Abdulmutallab, said a mandatory life sentence was cruel and unconstitutional punishment for a crime that didn't physically hurt anyone except Abdulmutallab. The government insisted plenty of harm had been done.

"Unsuccessful terrorist attacks still engender fear in the broader public, which, after all, is one of their main objectives," prosecutors said in a court filing before sentencing.

Indeed, Alain Ghonda, a consultant from Silver Spring, Md., who was a passenger on Flight 253, said he now travels the globe with heightened awareness.

"After having that experience, you do not know who's sitting next to you," Ghonda said before Thursday's hearing. "They may look like passengers, but they might want to harm you."

Abdulmutallab's ability to defeat security in Amsterdam spurred the Transportation Security Administration to make swift changes.

The agency was using body scanners in some American cities at the time, but the attack accelerated their placement. Hundreds of the devices are now in use nationwide.

Valencia out for a month

Manchester United have announced winger Antonio Valencia will be out of action for up to a month due to a hamstring injury sustained against Ajax.

Valencia was brought on in the second-half for Ashley Young and then departed for Danny Welbeck within ten minutes after appearing to tweak his hamstring.

''He has a hamstring injury unfortunately,'' Ferguson said after the game. ''It will be four weeks. It is a bad blow for us."

United do have a plethora of options on the wing with Young, Nani, Park Ji-Sung and Ryan Giggs all able to fill in, but Valencia's form has been impressive of late and his absence will be felt as the Red Devils try to close the gap on rivals City at the top of the Premier League.

If there was a positive from Valencia's injury, which will rule him out of the key Premier League showdown with Tottenham at White Hart Lane on March 4, it was that Nani and Young were amongst those to return to action.

Young marked his first appearance since Christmas with his fourth goal of the season, breaking the deadlock after a dismal first-half display.

''It was Ashley's first game in two months,'' said Ferguson. ''Nani came back as well, Phil Jones has played a full game, which is good for us and Tom Cleverley has played a bit of football too so bit by bit we are getting stronger.''

Damme you look funny! Jean-Claude dons a 'tache and dodgy sideburns as he films his latest movie

Different look: Jean Cluade Van Damme sports a dodgy moustache
and sideburns while filming Welcome To The Jungle in
Puerto Rico today

Action hero: The Belgian star plays an ex-marine team-building coach
called Storm Rothchild

Cheesy smile: The actor looked happy to be on set alongside Adam
Brody and Dennis Haysbert

****

He's used to playing the tough guy in movies, so it may come as a surprise to Jean-Claude Van Damme when onlookers laugh at his latest look.

The 51-year-old actor was spotted filming his latest flick, Welcome To The Jungle, today and didn't look himself.

As he hung around the set in Puerto Rico, he could be seen sporting a large brown moustache and matching sideburns.

Wearing a fitted black vest with green, grey and white camouflage shorts, the martial arts star proved he's still got what it takes to be a muscly movie star.

In the upcoming film, set for release in 2013, he plays Storm Rothchild - an ex-marine team-building coach.

The story centres on a company retreat on a tropical island that goes terribly awry.

Jean-Claude no doubt gets the chance to show off some off his famous moves in his scenes.
The Belgian star - who will promote another of his films, The Expendables 2, later this year - will star alongside Adam Brody and Dennis Haysbert in the upcoming film.

Jean-Claude's Tom Selleck look is a far cry from the serious roles he has portrayed in movies such as Kickboxer and Sudden Death, but no doubt his hardcore fans will be pleased to see him on the big screen once again.

United leave Evra, Giggs and Berbatov behind

Manchester United jetted off to Amsterdam on Wednesday night without Patrice Evra, Ryan Giggs and Dimitar Berbatov, with the manager later explaining that Evra would not be involved as it has been "an emotional week for him".

United will play their first ever Europa League game against Ajax on Thursday night and will name a strong team with no domestic fixture at the weekend. But manager Sir Alex Ferguson will be without three of his star names.

Giggs, whose next game will be his 900th in United colours, was always expected to remain in Manchester to preserve his long-term fitness but it is a surprise that captain Evra and fringe striker Berbatov have not boarded the plane.

Ferguson later explained that Evra's absence was down to the events of the weekend, when Luis Suarez neglected to shake his hand ahead of the 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

"We have rested Patrice," Ferguson said. "It has been an emotional week for him and it is the right thing to do."

Ferguson is hopeful, though, that the spat with Liverpool is now over.

"We are all delighted that we have put the matter to an end," he said. "The two clubs, Manchester United and Liverpool, have too much great history and great rivalry. That is what we are going to concentrate on in the future.

"Both sets of supporters should be pleased and delighted that all we are going to talk about is who is going to win the game. Sometimes we will lose to Liverpool, sometimes we will win, but one thing you cannot take away is that both of us need each other."

Nani and Phil Jones, who have not been in the matchday squad since January 22, could make their return after being confirmed in the squad for the trip to the Amsterdam ArenA. Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley, Paul Pogba and Zeki Fryers are also named.

The last time United competed in a European match outside the Champions League was in 1995, when they were beaten on away goals by Russian outfit Rotor Volgograd in a UEFA Cup first round tie.

Mexican striker Javier Hernandez is looking forward to the tie, even if it is in Europe's much-maligned secondary competition.

"Both teams have come out of the Champions League and they both have a great history,'' said Hernandez. "We have won a lot of European Cups between us, so it will be a very interesting game.

"We need to get used to the fact we are not in the Champions League this season. And the history of Manchester United is such that it doesn't matter which competition you are in, we want to win it, no matter who else is in it or whether it is an important trophy for other teams.''

Milan take Gunners apart

Former Tottenham man Kevin-Prince Boateng scored a sensational volley and Manchester City outcast Robinho bagged a classy brace as Arsenal were thumped 4-0 by AC Milan in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday.

In a season that currently sees Arsenal trailing North London rivals Spurs by ten points in the Premier League, it was a former White Hart Lane employee who struck the first telling blow at the San Siro, Boateng smashing a wonderful volley off the underside of Wojciech Szczesny's bar to spark a rout in Italy.

Another former Premier League misfit, Robinho, then added goals either side of half-time before Zlatan Ibrahimovic deservedly rounded off the scoring, winning and converting a 78th-minute penalty to put the seal on an embarrassing night for Arsenal. Arsene Wenger chose to select Thierry Henry on the bench for his last match before the legendary striker returns to the MLS, with Tomas Rosicky filling the wide left position. Meanwhile, at the back Kieran Gibbs was restored to left-back, allowing Thomas Vermaelen to move into the centre to fill the void left by Per Mertesacker.

Certainly the Arsenal defence did not cope with the movement of Ibrahimovic and Robinho all night, and the Serie A giants dominated almost from first whistle to last after Rosicky's early long-range effort.

Clarence Seedorf rifled into the side-netting in a brief cameo before he was forced off by injury, and on 15 minutes Milan had a deserved lead. Boateng broke from midfield into the inside-right channel of the Arsenal penalty area, where he cushioned the ball with his chest before controlling a difficult volley, slamming the ball into the net with such unerring precision that many fans inside the ground wondered if the ball had actually crossed the line.

It had, and soon Milan were threatening again, showing little intention to simply hold on to their 1-0 advantage. Antonio Nocerino drove just over from distance and Boateng wasted a two-on-one breakaway, all the while with Mark van Bommel imperious at the base of the midfield.

A second goal always looked likely and it came gift-wrapped by Ibrahimovic who, not for the first time, spun into space behind Bacary Sagna to attack the left side of the Arsenal area. Reaching the byline at ease with Sagna lazily retreating, Ibrahimovic clipped a cross back to Robinho with his left foot, and the Brazilian re-adjusted brilliantly to head past Szczesny.

Wenger responded by throwing on the club's record goalscorer Henry for the anonymous Theo Walcott, but within four minutes they were 3-0 down. Vermaelen was unfortunate to slip on the edge of his own area, and Robinho simply allowed the ball to roll across his body before firing low into the corner past Szczesny.

Arsenal waited until the 65th minute to produce their first moment of quality and it came from Henry. Using the outside of his boot to flick the ball into Robin van Persie's path, the Frenchman allowed his strike partner to volley towards the bottom corner where Christian Abbiati made a superb one-handed save.

However, Wenger had by now thrown caution to the wind, and Arsenal paid the price when Ibramovich dropped a shoulder to trick his way past the hapless Johan Djourou, who could only pull the giant Swede down. Szczesny guessed right with the penalty, but it carried too much fizz from the enigmatic right boot of Ibrahimovic, and Van Persie could not grab Arsenal a lifeline with a header at the death.

Zenit St Petersburg grabbed a dramatic 3-2 victory over Benfica in freezing conditions in Russia, as errors from both sides added to the intrigue. In -10 degree temperatures, Zenit were favourites to take a lead to Portugal for the second-leg, but found themselves behind midway through the first-half as Maxi Pereira turned in a rebound after sloppy goalkeeping from Zenit's Yuri Zhevnov.

The Russian side hit back strongly and within minutes were level through Roman Shirokov, as the midfielder guided home Tomas Hubocan's cross with a delicate side-footed finish. An end-to-end game ensued, but there was little in the way of penetration from either side until the match was drawing to a close. With just 20 minutes remaining, Zenit made the breakthrough with a goal of stunning quality. A back-heeled flick from Alexander Kerzhakov found substitute Vladimir Bystrov, who crossed first-time for Sergei Semak to turn in with an exquisite piece of skill.

Benfica responded in positive fashion, bringing on another forward, and were rewarded when a second mistake from Zhevnov in the Zenit goal allowed Oscar Cardozo to turn the rebound home to level with just minutes to play. Maybe Benfica thought the draw was secured, but almost immediately Zenit had restored their lead. Calamitous defending from Pereira meant the ball dropped to Shirokov once more in the area, and the midfielder made no mistake with his finish. Zenit will take the win, but Benfica will be quietly confident ahead of the home-leg with two away goals to their name.

How Children of Celebrities Struggle with Grief

Mourning the loss of a parent in the public eye is a struggle all its own. Sadly, Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is facing it head on.

Just as fans learned of Houston's tragic death, the singer's 19-year-old daughter was rushed to the hospital after an emotional breakdown. She returned to the hospital a second time over the devastating weekend.

"My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better," her father, Bobby Brown, said in a written statement. "We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi-Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother's death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected."

The sudden loss of a parent is unimaginably traumatic for any child, but for those foisted into the spotlight, the burden is particularly stressful.

"They face additional burdens because all of the speculations and emerging details of the death and of the parent's life," a grief specialist at Madonna University, Dr. Kirsti Dyer, tells Shine.

In some cases, the grieving kids become the focus of curiosity, as much as the deceased.

In 2009, when Michael Jackson died of an overdose, the three young children he kept shrouded behind masks, quickly became familiar faces without their father's protection. Present at his televised memorial, Paris, just 11, at the time, alarmed both fans and dissenters by calling Jackson "the best father you can ever imagine" before bursting into tears. She reminded onlookers that his death was as personal as it was public. She was also defending her father's honor, a task many children of public figures are forced to do in the face of controversy.

"Children see both the good and the bad being written about, broadcast, tweeted and posted on Facebook for everyone to see," Dr. Dyer says. "Limiting their exposure to the media can be beneficial to their grieving process, so that every time they see a news report, read a magazine or go on line they will not be reminded of the death again, and again."

Some children have managed to escape the exposure. After Phil Hartman's tragic death at the hands of his wife, his young son and daughter were placed in custody with their mother's family in a small Midwestern town and allowed opportunity to grieve and grow up privately.

Francis Bean Cobain wasn't as lucky. Very public custody battles, leading to a restraining order against her mother, forced the music legend's daughter to grow up in the shadow of her father's death. Meanwhile, the Jackson kids have barely escaped a day without paparazzi stalking since their dad's death.

Sometimes, that attention may be comforting. Jackson's three children recently left their mark in their father's honor at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now at just 13, Paris seems to want to make a mark of her own in the industry. She's got a Twitter account, a publicist and a starring role in an upcoming movie.

When a parent's memory is shared with millions, bonding with their fans may be a way to connect with the deceased. Last year, the daughter of Blind Melon singer Shannon Hoon, who died of an overdose in 1995, stepped on stage with the reunited band to sing a song. Cobain has embraced the rock legacy, if in a roundabout way, interning at Rolling Stone and becoming engaged to a musician with uncannily similar appearance to her late dad. After a rocky relationship with the music industry, Lisa Marie Presley recorded a posthumous duet of "In the Ghetto" with her dad. "I got more emotional during that recording than I've ever gotten," she said.

But for Elvis's only daughter, coming to terms with her father's death took decades. "I did a lot of strange things that day," recalls Lisa Marie Presley, who was just 9 when her father died. "It didn't really settle in. I ran around and smoked cigarettes at 9, in the guard shack somewhere. I was crazy. I don't know, I did, like, wacky things."

In the years that followed, Presley battled substance abuse as a teenager and troubled relationships as a young adult.

For Bobbi Kristina, the coping process may take as much time. After rumors of drug problems, which she's denied, many fear the singer's daughter will face the same battle with addiction as her mom. "When people are stressed, when they turn to substances, is when they can turn the switch on for addiction," Dr. Drew Pinsky told ABC News. "That is my greatest fear for Bobbi Kristina."

Meanwhile, music critics and fans are already wondering whether the aspiring singer will pick up the career her mother left behind. A video of Bobbi covering an Adele song has gotten renewed attention over the past few days. Like Jackson and Presley, she may try to capture the fans her mother left behind. For now, however, the support of her close friends and family are far more important for her well-being.

We'll sort out Suarez mess! Liverpool owners set to jet in as sponsors get tough over race row

Liverpool's American owners will fly in this week after the club's main sponsors waded into the storm caused by Luis Suarez.

Fenway Sports Group's initial plans were to come over for the build-up to the Carling Cup final on February 26 but it is now expected they will bring forward their visit and be on Merseyside within days.

Principal owner John W Henry could be joined by chairman Tom Werner to dissect how Liverpool's global reputation could have been so badly damaged by a saga that culminated in Suarez refusing to shake Patrice Evra's hand at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Suarez's snub angered Liverpool and his long-term future at the club is in the balance.
So concerned were Standard Chartered, Liverpool's shirt sponsors, by what unfolded ahead of the 2-1 defeat by Manchester United that they issued a curt statement on Monday, making it clear they would not tolerate any repeat.

The investment bank said: 'We were very disappointed by Saturday's incident and have discussed our concerns with the club.'

Liverpool themselves issued three conciliatory statements - from Suarez, managing director Ian Ayre and manager Kenny Dalglish - in the space of an hour on Sunday afternoon.

The club insist they held positive discussions with Standard Chartered before doing so and maintained dialogue with the London-based firm throughout.

A club statement said on Monday night: 'Ian Ayre kept Standard Chartered fully informed of developments over the course of the weekend. The actions the club decided to take yesterday were supported by Standard Chartered.'

The investment bank signed a record £81million four-year deal with Liverpool in September 2009 and their name first appeared on the club's shirts 12 months later.

They were responsible for organising a successful tour of the Far East last summer and another is planned for 2013.

There is no suggestion Suarez's actions have led Standard Chartered to consider withdrawing from their relationship with Liverpool; they have asked to be involved if and when the club begin talks with a potential partner for naming rights on a new stadium.

What happens to Suarez, though, remains to be seen.

While the FA will not pursue the matter further, Liverpool are exploring the prospect of taking disciplinary action against the Uruguayan and will impose a fine if he is found to be in breach of his contract.

Suarez was accused by Ayre of misleading the club over his intention to ignore Evra's hand and Dalglish was dismayed that a player whom he has so often supported could let him down so badly.

As Prince Harry graduates as 'top gun': A look inside his £28m Apache killing machine that bristles with 21st century technology

Prince Harry was a high-flyer during his Apache training, qualifying top of his class - which is a huge achievement given how notoriously difficult these airborne tanks are to master. In fact, even very accomplished helicopter pilots have been known to fail the course. The young prince is now a Co-pilot Gunner and is likely to be sent back to the frontline in Afghanistan. Here we take a closer look at the incredible machine that strikes fear into the hearts of Taliban fighters.
